November 6, 20169 yr BC is so bad, Louisville took care of business. BC offense is bad. BC defense is reputable (although UofL maked them look silly). Confirmation of some theories in the prediction thread about when UofL offense is in sync, they get out early and put the game away. When they are not, they go down to the wire with teams, even many they should beat handily (Duke & UVa). Most remarkable stat? Cards were not penalized at all. For those of us that have watched lots of UofL games, this is striking! Must control the TOs better. In a close game, they will cost the Cards.
November 6, 20169 yr Having a lousy offense is a real team effort, as BC expertly displayed yesterday. Towles missed a lot of guys, but had a few drops and couldn't get any help from the run game, either. Louisville's defense has a lot to do with how poor they looked but jeez did BC look overmatched. And for a pretty stout defense, Louisville's receivers burned the Eagles' secondary early and often. How many of Louisville's big plays in the first half were Quick or Smith just blowing past coverage for long passes? Jaylen Smith has 6 catches for 124 yards and a touchdown. James Quick had 3 catches for 78 yards and two touchdowns.
