Games with Nicholas Co. and Bath Co. are always physical...prayers for speedy recovery for the player that got injured for Bath Co. last night.

Not quite sure why the whole co-champ/share of the district championship discussion continues to pop up...it seems fairly clear to me however maybe somebody could educate everyone on the KHSAA District Co-Champion provision?

The Ky High Football twitter only list NC as the 5th district 1A winner. There are no co champs listed with them(NC). There are no co champs listed with any other division or district either. Each division and district only have one winner listed. Go to KYHighFootball to see these result.

Maybe the folks from Bracken Co. Need to call the KHSAA office Monday and get their facts straight. You had a great season be happy with what u have done and work to win a play off game.

There are no such thing as co champs in the eyes of the KHSAA. Last season in our district, Fleming, Russell and West Carter all tied. With points breakdown, it went West-Russell-Fleming. West got the 1st place trophy, Russell got the runner up and Fleming got nothing because they were the 3 seed and on the road.

So basically if I understand right, Nicholas County had won the district before the game with Bracken was even played and the outcome didn't matter to them and the game was only for seeding purposes. Bracken wins they are the #2, lose and they would have been the #3. They never were in the running for a bye, just a home playoff game and game against Fairview or go on the road against Raceland, is this about right?

I'm honestly not sure about the points breakdown for the tie breaker in your district. I was just explaining how the KHSAA did the determination of district champions and runner ups.

No. There was a very, very slim chance that Bracken could have had the #1 seed. They needed a ton of help on Friday which only about half of the help came through.
