Again another hard fought game by the Birds. Came back from a 14 - 0 deficit to tie it up, Elder just got them in the end.

Hey Rodney, (Dangerfield) you get no respect. Didn't you learn that this week.

Now Sticky lets here what you thought of the game.

I'll say this...HHS football is going to be good for a long time...:ylsuper: :ylsuper:

Those kids play hard and don't back down from anyone. As in the varsity game, one play away from being a completely different ballgame. You haev to hold on to the football...

Good game. Birds played well in 2nd half, controlling the ball for the majority of time. Just like last night, turnovers hurt tremendously. TG is showing tremendous pocket poise. Nice decision making on when to throw and when to run. I noticed on rollouts held he the ball high in a throw position freezing linebackers and corners, buying extra yards on the runs. These games are great for our young guys as Elders JV team is probably better than some Varsity teams they will face next year. Hope 46 is OK, he was playing well.

What happened to 46? Is that Blake Newman?

I made the trip to the Pit...it was a very good football game. Highlands showed tremendous heart coming out in the 2nd half down 14 pts and marching down the field. #46 getting hurt in the 4th qtr was somewhat of a blow but the Birds defense fought hard.

Great decision making by TG in the 2nd half and #27 has some major guts and had some nice runs. Head played well and had some nice runs. #65 blew up the qb at the end of the game...nice hit young man.

Birds have much to look forward to.....got my money's worth both last night and today. The goetta omellette I had at Price Hill chili was excellent as well.

ONly critique about the Pit is the first 4 rows behind the visiting and home teams are horrible....you cant see much of the game...they need to add some deck seating but overall very impressed...

He hurt his leg...came out with 5 minutes left and had ice on it. He is tough as nails also.
