Probably because you get alot of stops so you get the extra possessions. You will have to make every possesion count this week. Two or three stops by either team can cost them the game. The offense will have to keep up the pace. It will be interesting on who's D has the ability to bend and not break.

Shocked at the poll #'s favoring Ryle so strongly. Suspect, it speaks more loudly to the SK haters on BGP, rather than the Ryle believers. IMO, Pioneers by 10 and I am a 100% neutral old coach. Got to see this game.

This should be a battle. But my gut is telling me Ryle. Maybe because I saw what HHS was able to do to SK and made them look slow and Ryle is very versatile on offense. I don't know.

 

For some reason, I think Ryle pulls it off this year.

 

Either way, it should be a great game and a great atmosphere for the boys!! A fun game to be a part of that they will all most likely remember for a long time! And really, that's what it's all about. Hating your rival in high school and then drinking an ice cold Coca Cola and reminiscing about "that time when" a few years down the road.

Question: Was the 3-5-3 defense SK played against Campbell Co. their base defense, or just a special change-up for the Camels. They consistently, except redzone, had only three down lineman within five yards of the line at snap. Greatly suspect this was to take away CC's passing game and force them to run, which is not their strength. What say you, Pioneers?

SK has run a 3-4 the last 4 years. Prior to that they ran a 3-5. Could not tell you the last time they ran a 4 man front as a base defense.

Gotcha, he has been out for a while. I thought there may have been some injuries from last week. For what its worth, Colton Williams the D1 tackle has been out for a while as well and Trent Kincaid did not play last week for SK. All in all I would say both teams are as healthy as can be expected for this time of the year.
