I like to keep my expectation somewhat conservative but Boyle's freshman class is pretty darn good. One class can't do it though.

Wasn't the Mercer game 14-6 Boyle and Boyle scored another touchdown with time running out to make it 20-6? Not doubting they won the other games big but I don't think they beat Mercer Freshmen by 30+

 

The final to the best of my knowledge it was 28 to 6 Boyle that's the closest game they've had.

The Cov Cath freshman team is undefeated with only one game not being a multiple score win. Ryle apparently has a pretty good team also. The Cov Cath/Ryle match up is the last game of the year for both teams I believe.

 

This is always an entertaining game.

Belfry is very senior laden. However....their Junior, Soph and Freshman class all won Middle School Championships...and each class has several that heavily contribute to this current Pirate team. No doubt Belfry will take a step back next year....whether or not other teams can take a couple of steps forward, remains to be seen. IMO, Corbin will be strong next year....but it will be their year to travel....so......

I have heard that about the areas economic struggles. That's too bad for the community and the program. Hopefully it'll be a non-factor.

 

Those middle school "state championships" don't mean much in high school but I know they have had some really good teams. I know the freshmen class pretty well. Got some really good kids/families represented.
