jahearme Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 Whats everyone think of it.I see Montgomery as definite favorites. They will be hard to handle, that's for sure. I side note it that Coach John High has said this will be his last year coaching. It makes sense, because his youngest child, Jenna will be graduating this year. He's put up some unreal in his days. I'll try to get some numbers and put them on a new thread.
mcpapa Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 Montgomery County is king of the 10th Region hill until proven otherwise. Mason County will miss Miranda Hales' speed and hustle, and an injury-free year for Lacey Kline would make them a solid second behind the Lady Indians.
TubbyCAT Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Coach John High is an excellent coach and has had a tremendous career. I wish him nothing but the absolute best. I have had some dealings w/Coach High through the years and he was always nothing but respectful and professional to me in our encounters. I do think that Montgomery County is the team to beat, again. Mason County has to show they can win a big game in the regional and make a statement. They have had the talent to do that for the past few seasons, but seem to fall short for whatever reason.

Two years ago, one the reasons was that Mason was unwilling to foul with a 3-point lead and the clock winding down.
TubbyCAT Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Was at that game and there were a few things that could have been done that night in order for Mason County to win.

Is this the John High that went to MSU back in the 60's and early 70"s. I knew a guy named that at MSU. Not to sound stupid...which I am sure I will... Where does he coach? Don't keep up much with the girls coaches.
hoopsrbest Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Probably is the same. John went to Morehead and has coached at least Whitesburg and currently Montgomery Co. Great guy.
