Yes, thanks alot. That's about what I was expecting with the top 5. Thanks. I saw Lou western this past weekend. They are a talented bunch. I think that OC is better then 9th. We will have to see.

I think Mercer could be #1 before long.

With all due respect though Russell is a very good team, i watched them in Louisville last year. But Mercer has the depth.

Lets see.... Depth??? Russell has 28 seniors this year. All played last year, 5 junior starters this year, 1 sophomore starter.. with the back up QB- CORDLE- 2-2 for 30 some yards- sophomore, sophmore running back- ABRAMS, and BAILEY scored Friday night- sophomore. Yea I know about MERCER and the number of kids they have to choose from. Our boys play IRONMAN and stay on the field, the subs that come in are just as good as any on the field.

Mercer may have more depth at any given position with a load of talent on the team. I AGREE... We will just have to wait and see I guess.

Mercer has 17 seniors. Russell is still Russell. Mercer just has to hope to get that opportunity to play you guys. After Boyle we wont see anybody of Russell's caliber til deep into the playoffs. So who knows. IRONMAN football is what state champions are made of with the smaller schools.

Correction - Mercer had 21 seniors - one quit yesterday (don't know why). Now they have 20.

28 seniors is very impressive. The downsize to it is that...it can be difficult finding quality playing time for your sophs and juniors. Is next year going to be a full blown rebuilding year? On the surface it would appear so.

It is a large senior class but it may not be as much of a rebuilding job as you think. There are some very talented Jrs and Sophs waiting there turn. Coach McGlone has always done a good job of working people into games. You just need to scratch a little deeper.
