Armchair Coach
Former Ashland High basketball player Mark Collins passed away at KDMC in Ashland yesterday.Mark was 48.He was a former All Area player(73-74;74-75).I played against Mark in High School and can attest that he was a very good player.More importantly he was a great guy.The family has my deepest sympathy at this difficult time. scooterbob
Mark Collins came from a fine family, was a good man, and a talented athlete. As with so many, he left us far too soon.
cvillecat
Mark was a great guy. I met him when I played baseball for Post 76. Prayers go out to his family & friends.
likes2watch
Mark could always find the funny side of any situation. He was a joy to be around. He leaves behind a 9yo daughter and a wife that is due to give birth to their second child in Oct. Please keep them in your prayers.

Fastbreak
This is very sad news. Mark graduated the year before I began at Blazer. He was smooth on the basketball court, and was one of the guys we younger players looked up to and tried to emulate. I am very sorry to hear this. God Bless his family. TomcatChick41
This is a shame. I knew him from my time working at the YMCA. He was a great guy and my thoughts and prayers are with his family.
