I agree totally. I hope we play every home game there this season. Better seating and concession and a much better field.

Sorry.....Mercer's field is in so much better shape than AJ field it is not even worth discussing.

What is worth discussing is what the PLAYERS (remember them?) want. They want nothing more than to dress and relax at the new fieldhouse before making an awesome entrance onto their field. They are probably not real fired up about getting on a bus for every HOME game!!!:confused:

NTRL, you are right as usual, Mercer has one of the best sports complexs in the state, and we are not taking advantage of it. Mercer has 3 weeks to make arrangements for seating and concessions. Parking is not an issue.

 

Heck with the "gate" Mercer will have, we can afford to buy some bleachers.

 

Garrard Co will be overwhelmed, when Mercer travels over there. Even when it was just Mercer, the place was packed.

Its unfortunate that Garrard is quite down this season. This Garrard/Mercer football rivalry had really been good the last few seasons and from what I hear, this will be the last game in the series for a while. I would still expect a nice crowd on both sides.

Hey, after I posted this I was informed of how much better Mercer's field was this season. I just remembered in year's past of how bad it was. That sounds fine to me. Whatever the players want. I'm just ready for the Garrard co game.

Mercer Titan, how long has it been since you have been to a Mercer home game? We have had bermuda for 6-7 years, and the rubber "plugging" for 4 years. Granted, concessions and restrooms are not the best, but field is in great shape.

I haven't been in a few years. My work in the past hasn't allowed me to do so. It's been atleast 6 or 7 years. Back in the early 90's when I was there the field was horrible. No ifs,ands, or buts. I am happy to hear they have gotten serious with the field there. I can't wait to see it. I heard they have put a huge boulder in the north right corner of the field this season. Is there a Titan theme for that?

I think all the Mercer facilities will be vastly upgraded in the next couple years. Can't wait!!!!!!
