September 20, 201610 yr If you were then told that the bag of skittles has been thoroughly reviewed by the government and the three dangerous skittles removed, would you be okay with that bag of skittles being sold in a store? So now were supposed to trust the government?
September 20, 201610 yr Dude's dad called police 2 years ago and reported him as a terrorist apparently.... This should not be overlooked in the rush to vilify all immigrants.
September 20, 201610 yr This should not be overlooked in the rush to vilify all immigrants. From what I have seen on that, a neighbor said he heard the Dad call his son a terrorist after stabbing his (brother?) I believe. I don't trust the media to get things right, but they claim that the dad has downplayed calling his son a terrorist a couple of years ago. The neighbor that was interviewed said that the dad called him that during an argument in front of the First American Chicken shop.
September 21, 201610 yr It beats the alternative, doesn't it? God forbid these continued attacks by immigrants directly affect anyone in the BGP community, but sometimes it feels like that is what it is going to take for people on this site to wake up. I am not saying all immigrants are looking for violence, but I also don't think that, in looking out for the safety of our nation, we should continue to let people from a region known as a hotbed for terrorism continue to come into our country. At least not right now. If that makes me a bad person, then oh well. I'll hash that out with my creator when the time comes. I just hope that when my time comes, it isn't brought about prematurely by an immigrant that we let into our country because we didn't have the backbone to make the smart decision. No it doesn't. One can very easily insert the word "black" for immigrant, or whatever other group that someone wants to throw in there. You can't group an entire group of people together because of the bad ones. As in past events, we are now finding out that the even the persons family had concerns about this guy. The guy also visits an area of a country that is known for extremists, did the Feds even question him? Vetting immigrants doesn't seem to be the big issue, it's the Fed's for whatever reason who are not checking the people who should be raising red flags.
September 21, 201610 yr So, just heard on the radio this morning that for the money spent to bring 1 Syrian refugee into this country, the same money would help 12 should we set up a system to help them in country. Not that this info has anything to do with this thread in particular, but it's all related. I found that stat interesting.
