Jumper_Dad
The Tragedy of 9/11 should not be used to sell any product . Crass commercialism at its worst . That Coke display was going to be there if there was a Tribute to 9/11 above it or not. The 9/11 display above the stack of product didn't entice one person to buy Coke Products that wouldn't have bought them without the Tribute. It was a Tribute to 9/11 nothing more. If they had priced Coke at 2 for $9.11, then yeah they are being idiots. Stores often have similar Flag displays made from empty boxes, on the 4th of July. Mexican style displays on the 5th of May and even Pepsi or Coke Military displays on Memorial Day. This was even put up in a Commissary at a Naval Base I'd venture that no one bought Sugar Cookies or Sierra Mist because of the Tribute to POWs. It's a just q Tribute in a store. allsport71
Not sure that is really bad taste. It is not all that different from UC wearing the red, white and blue cleats for their game. What is the problem with the cleats, maybe I am missing something?

allsport71
They don't meet the NFL's Dress Code But the UC Bearcats, if that is who we are talking about are not an NFL team.

Some NFL players wanted to were similar cleats and were told no by the NFL.

Some NFL players wanted to were similar cleats and were told no by the NFL. 100 people surveyed: Why wouldn't the NFL allow it like they do the pink accessories in October? Survey says: Because the NFL couldn't put together a marketing campaign quickly enough to cash in on it.
