It is also worth noting that District 7 may be pound for pound one of the weakest Districts in all of KY in terms of competing with the rest of their classification.

With the exception of 2A District 5 and 1A District 3, I am not sure I would predict the winner of 3A District 7 to win any other District in the state at this point.

Casey County is 2-0. Maybe they can get in with another win or 2.

Western Hills was 2-0 before losing 40-0 to Madison Southern this past weekend. One of those wins was against 4A Franklin County.

Other undefeated teams include Adair County (3-0) and Union County (2-0).

This year's Corbin team is better than last year's, I just have a hard time seeing them as the #2 team in 3A. They still have several question marks and a ton of room for improvement. I would have to go with Lex Cath and maybe a couple of others above them right now.

We will learn a lot the next 3 weeks on where they stand after the games on the road against Danville, Southwestern and Mayfield.

What Corbin has going for them that most everyone else in the rankings doesn't is (1) they haven't lost a game and (2) they have a big name win. I don't know if Corbin is the second best team in Kentucky, but their measurables are better than everyone but Belfry so they almost have to be there.
