I thought the same thing. After seeing both play Dayton, I figured Brossart would have won without much trouble. Either way, a win's a win. Congratulations to the Mustangs.

Sorry we failed to live up to your expectations.

I'm thinking the Dayton score may have been an aberration. Keller was given forty days and forty nights to throw the ball by the Greendevils, and Chase played pitch and catch with Bryce Donnelly all night in that one.

 

Both Aiken and now Bellevue took away that little luxury and the Mustangs have had to work a bit harder to orchestrate scoring plays.

 

Credit also that Bellevue came to play, have a few players who are threats, and kept the Mustangs deep in their own territory for much of the game.

 

My thinking is that the 13-6 Bellevue win is closer to reality than the 40-6 Dayton domination.
