Donations stolen from FedEx package meant for Iroquois H.S. foot - WDRB 41 Louisville News

The above link will take you to the Louisville Fox affiliate article and video (watch it - it is the best) of a very recent story on the Iroquois HS Football team. Not many likely know that is a less than advantaged area of Louisville and alot of kids there come from difficult backgrounds.

They have a new head coach in Coach Peters, who's brother is the star football player Corey Peters. LONG story short, Coach Peters had his team out in the local neighborhood cutting yards for nearby residents for free and only ask that they come to some of their games to cheer them on. Awesome!

Corey Peters saw this and his NFL buddies saw this; took up a collection of over $2,000 and FedExed it to them. Problem way some punk stole the money out of the FedEx envelope!

BUT FedEx has said they will reimburse them the money! GO FEDEX!

That money is to go to taking players to college visits, much needed equipment and the like.

It is heart-warming. Wanted to share with you!

Kudos to Coach Peters for the unique life lessons, to Corey Peters and his NFL buddies, and to FEDEX for helping right the wrong.

Was the thief a FEDEX employee? Couldn't get the article on my phone.

I hope that I am wrong but Without knowing a lot more details I am not sure this story passes the smell test.

I'd like to say it WASN'T me......now if it were printer parts ( @plantmanky ), that's another story. :lol2:
