August 30, 201610 yr I received an alert on my phone today saying that a Venezuelan team may be interested in Tebow following his pro day today. It seems likely that somebody will sign Tebow to a deal, even if it is unlikely that he'll ever play on the major league level. So the thought entered my mind: is it in Tebow's best interest to play internationally for a year or two, then try to jump to the bigs?

So you are concerned with his Protestant conservative ideas, and I'm just guessing. But if he expressed extremely liberal Protestant views it would be OK? Again, I'm just guessing. Oh, and getting back to the thread, I think Tebow should play wherever the heck he wants internationally, nationally. He's obviously a good athlete. I had always thought he should have tried another position other than QB. I don't get the disdain for the guy. If I was in his shoes, and as athletic, I'd be trying any way I could to play a sport professionally. And I'm tired of folks making fun of or "poo-pooing" those who profess their Christianity. Yeah, either he's not serious about it or ESPN is putting him up to it. Surprised Mets are even dealing with this if in fact what I noted is true.

Then wouldn't Venezuela be right for him? If their belief includes proselytizing to others I would think he would want to go where the opportunity lies. As for triumphing him as a paragon of Christian goodness I've never seen any indication that he isn't. Everything I've read on him is that he walks the walk. Believing that he should convert others does not negate any of that. It's just annoying.
