Tilghman's opener with McCracken County was ugly, while Central Hardin grounded out a win over Mercer County. The Tornado have to travel to Central Hardin this week. Can Tilghman keep it close?

Central Hardin's offense was sluggish at times against Mercer County but hopefully some of that will be ironed out during practice this week. I'll take Central by 21.

Central Hardin all day in this one. 28-9.

PT has no offensive or defensive line. Their dB's played McCracken 10 yards off. ???? They just seemed lost on defense. Made McCracken look much better than they really are. I'm a Mustang fan & the game was fun to watch as a fan. But I have much respect for Barber & believe after this season he'll be okay. PT will take some beatings this year but with their district strength I believe they'll still be hosting a playoff game in Nov.

Central Hardin will need some time for their D and O lines to develop as they are young and inexperienced along the front. Their ability to use QB Iler in multiple positions ( WR, RB), helps take some of the load off of RB Barbours shoulders. Sophomore QB Hobbs looked better than expected with his poise and throwing ability. There were some dropped ball by receivers. RB Trae Talley had a nice game and scored on a 15 yard run in the second half as Central put the game away. Mercer County has a nice squad and will surprise some teams this year.

I expect Central Hardin to pull out a win vs Paducah Tilghman but the upcoming schedule is brutal with a visit to Bowling Green, vs South Warren and John Hardin. This team will go through some growing pains this season as they only have 12 seniors on the roster, but should improve as the season progresses.
