Central Hardin 21 Mercer County 7

Featured Replies

Titan defense played a pretty good game overall. CH did break off a few big gainers, but Mercers problems lie on the offensive side. Too many missed blocks, dropped passes and open receivers missed,to be productive.

Central Hardin has a very nice team. Running backs run hard and their QB seems to make that offense click. The QB missed a couple of series and the CH offense could not move the ball w/o him.

Sloppy game with several turnovers, some as a result of the conditions and some just bad football plays.

Both of these teams will win a lot of games! Looking forward to seeing how Mercer improves, with a week to reflect on tonight's game! It's a long season and if the Titans can get their offensive struggles,at least somewhat, corrected this could be a very dangerous team!

GO TITANS!!

You nailed it. I am excited to be able to watch this team grow.

I LOVE how much this Mercer County team hates to lose. These boys will get better quickly.

The CH uniforms were very hard to get a read on the numbers. Unofficial CH 38 plays 175 yards passing 2-7 1 Int. MC 65 plays 254 yards passing 4- 15 2 int.

To me it looked like CH was alot stronger up front and a whole lot faster.

Agreed. And it still took them all four quarters. They were the better team but not by much.

I really enjoyed watching Iler and Barbour work. They are fun to watch.

I will agree with the stronger up front, but I think both teams have elite speed. I don't think the conditions were very good to allow us to see that speed in action. Mercer has a WR & a couple running backs that will outrun most guys they go against. #9, Dustin baker, #33 D. Smith and #15 (WR) Tannor Robbins all will have their share of highlights, by seasons end.

I agree. How bad did the injury affect tge play of the MC QB?

I saw him twice last year, but tbh, this was the first time I cared how he played. I will say this though, MC sure seemed to move the ball well, before he went out. He made a few mistakes, but I think he will be a totally different player, by seasons end. There were at least three if not more balls, that should have been caught. If that happens, it could have turned the game in Mercers favor. I'm of the opinion that they will get a lot of that fixed and then we will know, just how good Gunnar is!

I think that dropped pass Tanner had was gonna be a TD. That would've been huge if he catches that ball. I expect Tanner to have a big year going forward!

It is going to take a little live action for him to find his groove, but I could not agree more. He is far too gifted an athlete, to not stand out, once he gets his game legs & hands back! He will be a treat to watch, in short order, IMO
