Banners stretched out and school flag is flyin'

Starting Line-Ups and your son's name they call,

Fireworks, smoke machines, and even a cannon blast

The Coach strolls slowly as his team runs past,

"Let's take this kick back" and "Let's start out fast!"

"Kickoff Team!" and sprinting out while pumping up the fans,

Air Horns blowing, cow bells ringing, and everyone clapping hands,

Cheerleaders yelling, P.A screaming, and a dueling of the bands,

The whistle blows, the arm ref's arm goes down to his side

The kicker takes a few steps to line it up in stride

Toe meets leather and the ball rises into a sunset night,

Football Friday has came again, and Oh! What a sight!

Yeah it's an original I made today for fun... used inspiration from that "But Sunday's Coming" poem you hear around Easter

The anticipation of the season is always a great time as all teams are 0 and 0 and the possibility of getting that win out of the gate is awesome!
