The MTV thread got me to thinking about the hours and hours I would spend watching music videos back in the day. Some were pretty good; some were downright terrible. What were your favorites?

I'll start with Ah- Ha..... Still one of my all-time favorites. Different, creative, Great tune, plus I had a HUGE crush on the girl in the video. Couldn't get enough of her or the video.

Bonnie Tyler was hot, her voice was raspy and sexy, and Jim Steinman wrote an incredible song. The video was kinda strange but I liked strange back then. It all came together for something special. The kids with the "bright eyes" always remind me of the classic movie "Children of the Damned."

John McEnroe, you lucky son-of-a gun. I had a huge crush on your wife. Couldn't get her, this song, out of my head...

Actually, the video wasn't that great, but I didn't care...

Mr. Schue's gonna give me grief for this one because it features Cetera. But I always enjoyed the video back in the day. The other band members appear in the video. Chicago fans will easily spot them. I call this the "Chicago Meets Casablanca"

video.

Beautifully done video by Fleetwood Mac. Good song penned by Stevie Nicks, but Great video.

Who could ever forget this one? I'll tell you who... No One !

I don't know if the song made the video for me or if it was the cute blonde in the overalls. Regardless...fond memories!

Some really, really strange looking characters in this video. First and foremost among them--- Ric Ocasek!

First music video I remember. Michael Jackson, Thriller.

A great tune combined with lots of lovely scantily-clad circus freaks...how could it not be good?

I always looked forward to seeing this one come on MTV back in the day. This was Rick Springfield's early eighties look into the future. Notice something very interesting about this one. At 58 seconds into the video, Rick starts typing on his spacecraft's computer. Notice the date that the computer displays ...

A gay, cross-dressing Englishman floating down the Mississippi in the Old South--- what could be more perfect!!!

Bon.... Simon Le Bon . I wasn't a big fan of the group but Simon was cool as hell. I wanted to be him. My little sis always covered her eyes when he comes up out of the water. It scared her for some reason.

Take on Me might be the best music video ever made. Not the best song, but a fun song with one of the most iconic music videos ever.

15 year old me really enjoyed Chris Isaak's Wicked Game video.
