July 26, 201610 yr As a leading BGP cynic let me say this is a bunch of nothing other than a nice financial gesture. PR? Agree 100%
July 26, 201610 yr Author As a leading BGP cynic let me say this is a bunch of nothing other than a nice financial gesture. PR? I'm sure part of it is PR. But Jordan is still if not the most recognized person on the planet in the top 5 ? He makes a statement on any hot issue it will always make news.
July 26, 201610 yr I'm sure part of it is PR. But Jordan is still if not the most recognized person on the planet in the top 5 ? He makes a statement on any hot issue it will always make news. Jim Brown is not impressed.
July 26, 201610 yr Author Jim Brown is not impressed. Ah so now we got to the heart of it. You don't agree with his statement so it's not newsworthy.
July 26, 201610 yr Ah so now we got to the heart of it. You don't agree with his statement so it's not newsworthy. If you're going to try to come after me at least pay attention. I've already stated IN THIS THREAD that his statement was something that everyone agrees with. That would include ME. He said nothing newsworthy or enlightening much less something where he takes a stand. It was a babies and puppy dogs statement.

He has no desire to really take a stand that would remotely affect his brand and ultimately his wallet.
July 26, 201610 yr He has no desire to really take a stand that would remotely affect his brand and ultimately his wallet. Bingo we got a winner!!!
July 26, 201610 yr Besides the very nice donation what's the story here ? I read a statement saying respect officers and respect lives of innocent black men. Who disagrees with that? The only story besides the donation is that MJ made a statement at all. Come on @Clyde you have seen the post on here. Many disagree with it.
July 26, 201610 yr He has no desire to really take a stand that would remotely affect his brand and ultimately his wallet. Which I think we can all agree is fine and his prerogative.
July 26, 201610 yr Come on @Clyde you have seen the post on here. Many disagree with it. They disagree with what?
July 26, 201610 yr Which I think we can all agree is fine and his prerogative. Sure. But when we start to compare him to others in the world of sports who have been outspoken, it rings hollow on his part. So, he can't win. Frankly, what would have been more impressive is the donation without the statement. Just my 2 cents

You don't agree or think he took a stand. But why does a stand have to be divisive or pick a side. He chose to unite which I think not only is newsworthy but deserves applause.
