You criticized it in a passive aggressive fashion because in your mind he didn't take a stand. So it's not newsworthy. My point is a statement of unification is not only newsworthy but should be embraced.

That is my issue. He's not taking a stand AS REPORTED. If 80% of people agree with you you're not taking a stand.

When a majority of people on tv or of note feel you need to take a strong stand on one side or another . The most known name on the planet says hey lets all chill and open dialogue without inflammatory retoric. That's not just big news it's gigantic.

July 26, 201610 yr As a leading BGP cynic let me say this is a bunch of nothing other than a nice financial gesture. PR? He has been called out by the black community for capitalizing monetarily on the black community but never giving back to the community. In his position he can't just give to one group so he donated to both and will go back to being silent. Good gesture by him for sure but totally self serving.
