Hey "dude", I'm on your side.. Most of the Ads rushing yards us up the middle, not on the corners.. Just need to stuff the first option a little better IMO..

D-ville ran mostly the orbit sweep to the outside and off tackle (stretch) plays......Don't remember many up the middle.

OK, you guys win.. The d line was perfect.. No need for improvement...

Never once said that. In fact I'm pretty sure I said " I know Coach Girdler was happy with his guys on the D-line. They can always improve no doubt about that as can any team"

Everyone can improve always...I was just saying what I saw D-ville run the most of all night. The Orbit Sweep, and the stretch play.

Commando, don't give in your wearing them down. Two things guys, Southwestern pass blocking crew was outstanding. I believe Jones got sacked twice once was very late in the game. He threw the ball with great precision the other night and was not being forced but a couple of times. Danville was sending several on passing downs. Great job by the O-line. Second rush blocking and run stopping looked good at times and at others looked average. SW prides itself on running the ball and blocking to make that happen. Danville may have been quicker or may have been reading the plays somewhat but SW was much bigger up front. Running and throwing for both teams was great for the fans. Even Danville had to start passing the ball. Great game by both squads each did what they had to do to win. If you have a chance to win at the end, then that's all you can ask for. One cub was going to win or lose on the score board but on that field after that game I'm sure no one in the bleacher felt like there were any loser but all were winners.

Always need to improve, that is the name of the game..yes. The o-line does need to run block better, SW started 1 returning starter. The d-line does need to improve, they returned no starters there. So you are looking at 8 starters on the o and d line with no varsity experience at all, I think they did a pretty good job, don't need outsiders looking with no knowledge of what is going on.

I didn't say they did a bad job.. I said they need to improve.. Don't know who your outsider comment was aimed at but I've been a SW booster since 93.. I've missed one game in the last nine years.. My kids played at SW and I am at practice, passing tourneys and other team functions on a daily basis.. I've worked bingo, painted the field, and worked consessions.. Not exactly an outsider I would think... You must be new so welcome to the Warrior family...:thumb:

Commando-I for one always look forward to reading your posts. They are as unbiased as we get in Warriorland and always insightful. Rookies will be rookies, glad they are in the tribe, but one should walk before letting their fingers do the running..............

GO WARRIORS:banana:

Don't fret too much. I've been an "outsider" in Danville since 92.:D

I don't know where these people get their facts. Commando has been around longer than most of the people associated with the program. He always gives an unbiased opinion, whether it is liked or not doesn't matter. I've been to several functions with him over the years and he knows his football as well as anyone - better than some I've coached with.

Keep it coming Commando.:ylsuper:

DTML, just didn't know who he was talking to. Commando been around long enough to know this as well. We all knew our new players on both the offense and defense and an outstanding job they did too. Thrown into the fire right out of the gate and having to run down them speedy Danville players wasn't easy but did that as well. Made Danville have to air it out to beat you too. DTML we want to hear you comments and join BGP Warrior family we don't want you to feel you can't say whats on your mind. Commando, buddy I'll see you Friday night for another good one but it would be hard to top last one though. I told everyone what a great game by both clubs and that their wasn't a ride at Kings Island that could match the ride I took the other night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way warrior fans!! Kinda off subject but.. Thursday night at 6:30 there will be a pep rally for the boys at the reservation to celebrate the up coming game!!

I'm a little closer than you think and been around for a while.........

Ha-ha... "Ohhhhh lord"" "Gary whadda doingggg"
