East keeps squeaking out the W's . That's what good teams do .

They have a great record and a great pitcher. I would like to see them against some better teams. The Ashland Blazer game was a good win. But not a strong schedule beyond that.

I read somewhere that their coach said he knew they hadn't played a very tough schedule this year and that they would really step it up next year. I believe the article I read mentioned them possibly plaing McCracken County, East Jessamine, and maybe Scott County, among others.

They lose 90% of the time to teams like the 3 mentioned above , even next year. They just are not complete enough IMO . But the game is played on the field , they can prove me wrong.

East carter has about 750 kids the schools you are talking about have about 2000.They are a young team dan you are hard on them.I have watched them play and I think you side they would get run ruled.Thats not going to happen I have seen the fouts kid pitch she's not getting run ruled...Thay will be the team to beat maybe not this year but there coming.Someone put on here that east should bring there POWER pitcher to Bullitt east to match up with Taylor she is a very good pitcher.I have watched the fouts kid play against her more then one time with the bandits and I think she played with the thunder bolts she won all of them.She plays against the best 18u kids in the country..That high school team only has one junior I would bet by next year they would run rule Shawnee state.Im sure there schedule will be better next year.. I'm done

Fouts is the real deal and worthy of every bit of attention. And they are young . I'm not hating on EC , I love the attention the attention they are bringing to the 16th region. But I'm also a realist . They have very close 1 run wins ( which I said was a sign of a good tough team) over mediocre teams that would not fair well against monsters like the top three mentioned above. So chill out and don't take it so personal. I'd pick you to win the 16th , Ashland isn't the same Ashland the past 6 years , Boyd and Russell are decent but you should beat them and make it to the sweet 16 . Once there you can prove you belong . And I hope you do . But to mentioned with the Scott's , Mccraken's of the Ky world you have to be really good at all 9 positions . I wish you guys the best in advancing the good work that the Tomcats have done for fastpitch in Eastern Ky .

Fouts is the real deal. You can't take anything away from her. Good teams win the close ball games.

From what I've heard, the Fouts kid is the real deal. I've heard she has committed to Alabama. If she has, she's beyond good. If you have good pitching it keeps you in games, if you have great pitching, you win a State Championship, i.e. Moss at Greenwood a few years ago, and I don't recall the kid's name from Allen County-Scottsville.

 

As a side note, sounds like Alabama should be called UK south with all the Kentucky kids going to play ball there.
