May 2, 201610 yr Since the Ru started a thread about a Kenton County River watering hole, I thought I would put it out there about the Dayton Ky Establishment. Both offer just about the same type of Entertainment & Food. Haven't been to the LBYC very much due to the Crappy proximity to where we live. So Riverside is where we occasionally go and have a Beer and maybe some dinner. We just happen to have our Boat docked there and we live 3-4 minutes up the hill so it is very Convenient to us. They may not have Teen night but if you are looking for a nice little place to hang out that's not Crazy crowded then it's the place. Anybody else frequent Riverside Marina?

If it's the same place that used to be called Riverside 4 then I used to go there about 20 years ago when a friend of mine had a boat docked there. I recall eating there a couple of times for lunch, but was there mostly to go boating. Ate at what was called Watertown years ago in Dayton when the Italian restaurant The Boot was there. I assume they still run a dock and a bar/restaurant there, but it's been quite a while since I've checked it out.

I think the place you are referring to in Dayton is now called Manhattan Harbor, I actually worked on the dock there for a couple years out of high school. It had a swimming pool by the bar and restaurant it was a pretty wild scene on the weekends. Unfortunately, they went bankrupt and now its under new management and I haven't been down there in a few years.

May 2, 201610 yr Been to Manhattan Harbor many times fun place. Especially when the pool is full of women.
May 2, 201610 yr My wife and I go down to Riverside once or twice a summer for dinner and some drinks. Its nice if the river conditions are good. Their food is pretty good as well, I love their fish sandwich. They usually have a decent cover band playing inside on the weekends.

May 2, 201610 yr Manhattan Harbour has had some serious issues over the past few years. Ownership has changed hands, under funded. Restaurant changed managers/owners 4 times over the course of one summer. They don't dredge enough for boats and as soon as they do, the water rises again an fills it back in. The barge itself was actually left crooked on the silt after last time. Also the owner from last year, some guy who ran apartments so the city of Dayton gave him the rights to run it, was totally disengaged. We were there one night. A storm kicked up and knocked a ceiling fan and light globe to the floor. He stood there drinking his beer and smoking his cigarette and never walked around or asked if everyone was OK. It could have killed someone. Finally a bar tender comes from behind the bar to clean up as the owner did nothing. Buddy of mine tried keeping his boat there in the water. I think he is pulling it out this year.
May 2, 201610 yr River side 4 is owned by one of the Brickings who used to have a place on the water in Bellevue. Been there a few times, not bad.
May 2, 201610 yr Riverside Marina is the same place/owners. They just relocated to Dayton when their spot in Bellevue was taken for the Condo development.
