Illegals and the IRS

Illegal Aliens gaming the tax system - with the IRS helping them it seems...

Forbes Welcome

It wasn’t put exactly that way. According to Senator Coats:

What we learned is that … the IRS continues to process tax returns with false W-2 information and issue refunds as if they were routine tax returns, and say that’s not really our job. We also learned the IRS ignores notifications from the Social Security Administration that a name does not match a Social Security number, and you use your own system to determine whether a number is valid.”

Commissioner Koskinen was asked to explain this. He suggested that as long as the information is being used only to fraudulently obtain jobs, the IRS was OK with it. In fact,
he said that the IRS actually had an interest in helping the illegal immigrants to crook these rules.
In fairness, perhaps it’s just the ‘that’s not my department’ response that abounds in big government. Perhaps this just isn’t the IRS’s problem, but it sure seems odd to have any agency chief encouraging illegal immigrant theft of SSNs.

IRS workers OK "phony" documents from illegal immigrants - 13 WTHR Indianapolis

Wait a second. You're expected to process documents and you don't even read the language the documents are [written] in?" 13 Investigates asked.

"Correct," they said simultaneously.

"We get applications from Mexico, Honduras, China, Japan, Bulgaria, all over the world. How are we supposed to read all that?
But I guarantee 90% of them are phony.
We see the same signatures hundreds of times. We see the same docs photocopied and attached to different applications. It's the same person, same photo, same address. I've seen the same birth certificate twelve times now in the past day. You see it all on an ITIN application," the IRS insider said.

"So what do you do with that application?" we asked.

"If the documentation is there, process it," admitted the insider.

My son got a letter from from the IRS this week indicating he may be the victim of identity fraud because they received two filings last year.

And many wonder why a majority of America is not trusting of this administration.

But they come after single dads like myself who work two jobs to survive.

Hey, they got to target all those conservative companies and non profit organizations providing real jobs, they can't be bothered with this.

Koskinen is one of my least favorite persons. He is a total political hack with that smug look and is totally corrupt. Very easy to dislike...

And Obama says..."not a smidgeon of corruption at the IRS"...

This could of been happening prior to Obama I have no clue. What I do know is stories like these is why Trump exists right now.

It very well could have. To me, it makes no difference who started this problem, that's in the past. We need to stop this ridiculousness.

I helped a friend do her return for 2015 and she transposed numbers in her child's SSN.

Her return was rejected.

Maybe she should have submitted it in a foreign language.
