I've always found Dr West to be fascinating, controversial, thought-provoking, and highly intelligent.

He's a lightning rod which is what you always get when people challenge the system and have a pulpit.

An interesting guy. I need to do more research.

I could not of explained him better.

I think all should listen to him just to hear from someone who has lived through a lot of life's experiences and can present items clearly. You won't always agree and he's certainly not a lap dog for anyone (see his continued criticism of President Obama's policies).

I applaud any and all that stand up for those without a strong voice.

I was in Chicago visiting my sister about 12-13 years ago, saw him speak to a small audience at the University of Chicago. My brother-in-law was friends with an independent book store owner who got us the tickets. It was interesting evening to say the least, bought one of his books, but have not read all of it.

I sat in the rafters the following night for a Bulls-Nuggets game when they were both in last place (free tix). Mr. West held my attention more than the game.

I watched the interview and found him oddly interesting. Reminded me of the black dude on mod squad lol....

I'm sure he's done or said stuff I'm not cool with, but I would like to meet him and have a talk.

Based on his BLM comments and the Obama administration pushing mr west away, I would like to here some of his plans or ideas on helping the lower half of all races achieve more.

I'm glad you posted this Clyde.

If he passes my common sense test, I'm really thinking this guy would be in my inner circle if I was president.

At first pass I liked the guy. Him having a similar IQ # as mine probably has something to do with that.

I forget the words he used regarding BLM but he did make a distinction between those trying to cause problems and those truly trying to help the cause. It's not a blanket endorsement for all things BLM.

Yea,, something like they need to protest on "love an justice" not "violence an hate"....

It's not exactly that, but that was his reference sort of.

I liked his comments on middle an upper income black people...

I would probably pay for a ticket to hear his ideas. I'm guessing if you can't take the truth, you better not show up.

What did he say about middle and upper income black people?

Something like....

They are good to go, they are doing fine, they are doing well.....

Sorry pp92 not his exact quote but you get the idea.

He's intelligent but it gets ruined sometimes by his crazy statements. He's called Obama some nasty things .

No problem. I was curious as to what he said. You never know with him. :lol2:

Crazy statements because you disagree with them or because they were directed at Obama?

He's intelligent no denying that. He just comes off as the lefts much much more extreme version of Trump in some cases.

He does make me laugh. He use to go on the O'Reilly factor and call Bill " My brother Bill" , probably only time O'Reilly has heard that.
