What can we expect?

Well I know LCA lost alot. Alot of their key position players. They have a new QB so they might be as much as a mystery as us. You going to be there saturday NTRL?

Those who read my posts from last year know I am pretty devoted as an LCA fan. But I have to say that LCA has a LOT of holes to fill from last year.

 

The good news for the Eagles is that they lost only one lineman. One of the underclassmen that will help fill that gap is sophomore Brandon Dawson, the son of NFL star Dermonti Dawson.

 

The quarterback is good, but untested at this level of competition. If the line can block for him, he'll be fine. If not, it could be a long evening.

 

The skill players all played behind seniors last year. They saw some playing time, but will have to step it up a notch if LCA is to defend their district title.

 

Last year's district "player of the year," Tyrell Hayden, graduated, but his brother, Dominique, should start this year as a freshman. Some are predicting that he will be even better than his brother.

 

In summary, the future of LCA is hopeful, but unproven.

If the Hayden kid is anything like his older brother LCA will have a good one. Tyrell was a great back. Is he playing at the next level anywhere?

Yes Tyrell is playing at WKU, and from what ive heard domonique is playing LB at LCA. This kid is one of the bigger freshman that i have ever looked at.

Thanks for the info. You are right about the size of the little brother, WKYT had a short segment on LCA and he looked larger than most lineman. He also looked quick for a big guy.

I did not get to go to scrimage, how did the QB battle shake out, any clear cut leader? O Line look any better?

I heard yesterday that Tyrell is the starting kick returner. Since they open up with Georgia, I expect he will get a fair amount of experience returning kickoffs! (No offense intended!)

I am not surprised!! I watched him play football and run track and he has outstanding speed. He also has instincts to go along with it. I am glad a kid has the chance to play at he next level. Good luck to LCA except Sept. 15th.
