Except Steph has a ring and Durant, with infinitely more tries does not. Green is good, but he's not Westbrook. If anything, Durant has underachieved and Golden State is overachieving. OKC has had 2 of the 5 best players on the planet the past 3-4 years and have nothing to show for it.

This.

As good as KD is, and he is really really good, the more I see from him the more I am bothered by what I see. The Thunder has problems and I'm not sold that KD isn't the root of the problems these days. It's almost all but clear he's done in OKC and the most ironic thing about this thread is that folks are saying he will end up at Golden State. I guess we know his answer to this thread question. :lol2: :lol2:

Steph Curry is straight up taking people's souls from them.

If KD goes to Golden State I'm going to laugh at anyone that ever tried to defend him. Said he was different when he signed his last deal (in which he financially could not afford not to resign with OKC, given the difference in $ he could get and the talent around him to boot). That's infinitely weaker than LeBron to Miami because GS is already a Super Team.

Word is that Bogut and Harrison Barnes will be done and KD will fit right in financially to take their place.

Heck at least Bron sided to create a super team instead of joining one.

As a long time OKC fanatic, I am saddened and really hate to admit this, but everything you said is true.

As all of you are implying that Curry is taking people's soul this year (which is why he's apparently the better player), here are the stats of Durant's MVP season vs Curry's current best season:

Curry-----30.5 ppg 5.3 rpg 6.5 apg

Durant---32.0 ppg 7.4 rpg 5.5 apg

I disagree that Curry is destroying the NBA anymore than KD was destroying the NBA two years ago. But I definitely think that the Warriors are annihilating the NBA more than any team in the past 20 years.

Wasn't Westbrook hurt for some during that season? Remove Green and see what Curry's stats are.

I'm looking more at how Steph is doing it as opposed to stats. KD's MVP year was nuts. I think he made the 50-40-90 club that year also. No denying that. It's the way Steph is doing it and the more and more I watch the Warriors, the more I am blown away by Steph. I mean, he takes some of the worst shots ever but they all seem to go in. It's uncanny. And demoralizing. You watch other teams literally lose interest in games when the Warriors go from up 6 to up 15 on three Steph trips down the court.

I remember KD putting away games in the 4th quarter in his MVP year. Steph is putting away games in 3rd quarter and blowing kisses to his wife while on the bench the whole 4th quarter. He's insane.

No doubt. I watched the entire Pelicans vs Warriors game in anticipation of what would happen, and right off the bat, I felt hopelessness for the NBA. The Warriors are terrifying. But try not to let the recency syndrome affect your opinion. Curry this season vs Durant two years ago is very hard to decide. But keep in mind that KD had to put games away in the 4th quarter as a lone factor while Curry AND the Warriors put games away in the 3rd. The Warriors coaching is far superior to Brooks coaching, sadly. I always loved Brooks. The Warriors this year are one of the best teams of all time, probably second to the 96 Bulls.

But I think that the underlying factor of why Durant is better in my opinion, is that he's had a better overall career in terms of career performance despite playoff struggles, which is more of a team issue in my opinion. Durant and Curry are around the same age but Durant has been the undisputed leader of OKC since 2008 when the Thunder started out 23-59 (although West is starting to take his status). Durant imo has been the critical reason for the Thunder's/Sonics improvement. Curry started his case just last season though. I hate to say this, but Iggy got the finals mvp. If Curry is the leader, then he should have gotten that, just like Durant would have if he won in 2012. Not saying that's a reason hes better, because he didnt win, but it kind of proves that Durant is more of a leader than Curry. If Curry had to carry the Thunder in 2014, I don't think he'd have as big of an impact. He'd be double teamed, and he'd hardly get any help like he does from Klay and Green, so he'd be easily contained. Durant hardly had any help, but he still managed to find away to score no matter the circumstance. Durant is more versatile and elaborate imo.

I would take Steph over LeBron, any day, all day so yes I would take Steph over KD

Remove Green and all I see is Curry's assist #'s going down and him having less help. But that's about it.

Steph is about to break the Bulls record of 72-10. LeBron has never even came close to that and he's had a group of talent and all he has to show for it are 2 Championships.

So yes call me crazy but I would take Steph over LeBron any day.

I don't know. I think Steph's assists go up without Green. I think agree. Takes assists away from him. Green averages more assists per game than Steph.
