I agree that the 1&1 that wasn't, and then was did not play a real factor in the outcome. The omnly reason I chose to discuss this to the extent I did, was because I think we should expect the very best officiating at this point of the season. I think everyone would agree that had a few of the "what ifs" had occurred, it very well could have made an impact! I am very proud to be a Titan fan, and this game made me a bit of a Holmes fan. They really showed a ton of grit and effort, to go allong with a world of skill! You Holmes fans/players/coaches and community should be VERY proud of the relentlessness your team showed today! I also can appreciate the well wishes and the support I've seen from comments on this thread. You guys really have shown a lot of grace and humility, values this world needs more of! Keep your heads held high and know that you played a heck if a ball game and left it all, on the floor! Good luck to your graduating seniors, and your team, going forward!

 

As a Holmes fan, thank you. I think most Holmes fans that I have talked to are rooting for Mercer, very, very good, well coached team. It's a shame the 1&1 miss que had to happen, it almost happened one other time before that. Proud of our Bulldogs, great year and should be top 3 next year in region. I watched the game on KhsaaTv and they were in the correctable time frame. BUT they did not apply the rule correctly. When they determined the error there was a change of possession. When they noticed the error Holmes was about to inbounds the ball. The refs should have cleared the lane shoot the 1 and 1. If she hit one, both or none, Holmes was going to get the ball back. Point of interruption was ball out of bounds when the error was noticed. Missing a call is one thing, kicking a rule is not acceptable. The official at the table should have made them sound the horn. Big stage. No excuses!
