Final

The 8th Region will have a new champion. Collins gave great effort and nearly pulled off the big upset. South played a really good game too, both teams and their fans should be proud of a great basketball game. Collins will certainly miss their seniors but with Feltner and Turner coming back next year, the Titans will be making noise in Henry County next March.

Thanks for the updates bnb14

Logging in from the press box!

Great game both teams! Tremendous shooting beyond the arc for BOTH teams....South was 10 of 21 for 47% beyond and Collins was 14 of 31 for 45%.

Chris Gaither again shows why he's one of the top young coaches in the 8th...the Titans played 10x better than in the previous 16 point loss to South in Crestwood....

Steve Simpson, meanwhile, continues to show why he's one of the best in the business. South got great balance - Joe Griffin 16, Trent Bouvet 15, Grant Williams 14, Jacob Bray 9, Dylan Snook 9, and Isaac Fields 8.

South hit 50% in the second half (14 of 28) to slowly pull away from a close half, in which South led, 33-32 at intermission.

All in all, nearly a dead-even ballgame in every respect.

Kudos to both for a VERY entertaining matchup of the two teams that have combined to win the last three titles

NOW....on to Oldham vs. Anderson....The Pegasus Sports Network - PSN live at 7:45 pm

Collins worse team in short school history and Gaither still takes them to regional semis with a chance to win the game. Great effort by the titans

Jacob Feltner's 16 points in a row in the 3rd quarter was simply amazing. He hit 5 3-pointers, including a 4 point play to keep the Titans in it. Not to mention he is only a sophomore and this was only his second game back after being out for a month with an injury. He can really shoot the ball and should be fun to watch the next couple of years.
