Jags won both regular season matchups by 5 points. Will a similar result happen on Friday night, or will third time be the charm for the Cougars?

Coin flip game to me with Cooper being short handed. Game will be close because both teams play really good defense! Heart says Cooper by 4, head says...... ah who cares what the head says, GO JAGS!!!!

The beauty of the KHSAA set up is that Coach Sullivan can be cautious with bringing back Sean and Adam too quickly. Yes, it could mean they go in to the loser's slot in the 9th but you're still in and , hopefully, with all of your players.

Regardless of what happens tomorrow I am hoping Cooper doesn't play until next Friday in the quarter finals to buy some additional healing time for the Jags walking wounded. No excuses but would love to see this team at, or as close to, full strength as possible. Hoping the younger Jags continue to produce on the big stage.

 

Should be another good one tomorrow for these two rival teams.

Hendrix on Scott will be fun.

I'm going with Cooper! They have found ways to win and work as a team without McNeil, then Kunkle. I believe they keep it going moving forward into Regions. Hopefully Sean is able to make it back by then.

Tough to beat a team 3 times in 1 season, especially when that 3rd game is on the road. Gonna say Conner in a close one.

Cooper is playing on the road, without their 2 best players, and trying to beat Conner for a third time. Sometimes the latter is irrelevant, however, both games this year were decided by 5 points and Conner held a lead late in the game in each of the losses, so there may be some truth to that this time around.

 

Ironic, that it's Conner who is healthy now, as they've had their fair share of injuries this year.

 

I expect a predictably close, hard fought game, as is always the case between these two teams, and will take Conner to win this one by the familiar margin of 5. The experience of Conner's 4 seniors will be the difference.

Cooper wins without their best in another tight game.

Hendrix on Scott will be fun.

 

I totally agree! Will be interesting to watch those two battle. Dante is the best defender in the area for a reason, and Scott really knows how to get to the basket and his post up game is nice. I think Hendrix's length could cause problems for Scott, but he always seems to get his. The key to me is who guards Hemmerich and how well they can handle him. Do you go with a little more length in Rohlman but not as much butt behind him? Or does Coach Sullivan go with Runion who is more physical and a little quicker but not quite as tall and long? Should be interesting to see how that plays out. Or do you put Hendrix on Hemmerich and Runion on Scott and try and get Runion to be physical with him? Lot's of questions going into this one.

 

One thing that I am interested to see is if Padgett can stay with C. McNeil. He is so quick and very strong both slashing and shooting the ball. That is the key match-up defensively for Conner, IMO

Get to Hebron early tonight because this one will be a great game to watch!

 

Matchups are really fun in this one from the head coaches all the way down to the 2nd or 3rd guy off the bench.
