The Professor Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 I went to this game. Very exciting from start to finish. Hazard actually controlled most of the game and had the lead until Perry caught them late in the 4th quarter. The new kid for Hazard, Frazier, transfer from OBI is a great addition to their team. He had 18 tonight coming off the bench and scored off some amazing athletic moves. The Blair kid for Perry Central played great, too. Perry made the difference with some torrid 3 point shooting---13 for 25 from behind the arc. These two teams go at it again in two weeks when they will meet at Leslie County for the first round of the 54th district. It's really a shame that one of these teams won't be making it to regional play, but such is the case in districts that don't seed.
Wireman Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Districts that don't seed are stupid. Should be mandatory
The Professor Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Districts that don't seed are stupid. Should be mandatory I agree. Perry and Hazard are two of the best teams in the 14th this year and both should be in the regional tournament but one will end their season the first night of the district tournament. I wonder how many districts in the state don't seed?
gchs_uk9 Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 I wonder how many districts in the state don't seed? I may be wrong, but I think only four do not seed. 38 - Harrison County, Nicholas County, Pendleton County, Robertson County 39 - Augusta, Bracken County, Mason County, St. Patrick 54 - Buckhorn, Hazard, Leslie County, Perry County Central 55 - Breathitt County, Jackson City, Riverside Christian, Wolfe County
