Great job by both teams!

PC did a better job in the man to man defense then they did in the zone...

Crawford did a good job finding the open spots while Allen was up top... The kid gotta be at least top 7 player in the 10th.

Allen controlled the paint blocking a lot of shots from everyone's man...

Besides a couple turn overs at the start of the game, Allen did a great job! Not a lot of shots for the young man last night....

Pop corn was very warm last night on a side note lol

Sorry to disagree, but I think Mustang's and my description were a much more accurate portrayal of Allen's off game tonight. Very good talent, and hope he let's a top young Coach that has 3 NCAA Rings guide his game. From the crowd there are hints of lots of voices in this talented, young man's ears. Hope he listens to the right one.

About the game, IMO Dontaie did a good job!

PC just isn't a very good basketball TEAM....

Logan Schultz can play! He doesn't put up the numbers people look for in the POY category. He's not 6'5 with a bunch of fancy moves, but imo, he makes Brossart click. Handles a lot of pressure with minimal turnovers and always seems to be in the right spot to make others on his team successful. Good team win tonight Mustangs!

Have no clue about Dontae's family being a problem. Just heard there were a pack of voices. Not many young men have the talent and skills that DA has at any grade level, let alone as a freshman. Likewise it's very rare for a young, talented, big man to have the opportunity to have a high school coach that is in his early 30's, can personally identify with DA's skills and game, and have competed in a quality D1 program successfully enough to have 3 NCAA rings. It is a tenuous challenge to be willing to let the coach coach. Nothing but the best from this poster to DA in his athletic career. Definite top 6 POY as a high school freshman. Bet that is an all time first for 10th Region basketball.

I agree with this comment 100%. Third time for me to see him this year, and last night was not his best. I would guess a minimum of 6 blocks, unfortunately he probably matched that with turnovers. Love the youngman. The fact is the 10th is wide open this year and nobody is going to Rupp without their top player bringing his A game three straight games. I believe PC is one of those teams that can turn the 10th upside down.

There are plenty of really good players in NKy, but IMO Allen has the highest ceiling of any player at any age in the NKy regions. He's a D-1 caliber talent, and could make a really nice living playing basketball.

 

IF he takes coaching, continues to work on his game, and willingly contributes to the program. 3 big variables that need to come to fruition.

 

In fairness to DA, given his talent, his parents should be asking whether PC is the best place for him. I'm sure there are plenty of high visibility programs/prep schools/factories that would welcome his skills.

 

Regardless of where he lands, they need to hold him accountable for making the most of his opportunity. Without the right attitude and commitment he will not reach his potential.

If you've seen him play enough, it's pretty clear. He can single-handedly win a game at both ends. I watch schools like Huntington Prep play and can see him easily fitting there in 2 years.

 

It sounds like he had a rough night against BB - but that should be expected from a 14 year-old. By the time he is 17 - watch out...

Let me comfortably say, as a freshman, I don't remember seeing anyone (ANYONE) in person with a higher ceiling with the exception of O.J. Mayo. He has that kind of upside.
