Walter Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Final tonight in 3rd place game of LMIT. McClendon led Holmes with 17.
Danny Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 A win for Holmes, but game was ugly.................Sorry
B-Ball-fan Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 A win for Holmes, but game was ugly.................Sorry It truly was ugly, and didn't make either team look too special. As of now the Bulldogs aren't looking like one of the better teams in the region, nor are the Red Colonels deserving of any jumps in the ratings. Both teams struggled to score, and I struggled not to snore.
wheelhouse Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 I agree that both teams played poorly, but I respectfully suggest that the "snore factor" wasn't just due to that. No high-school basketball game should last over one hour and fifty minutes.
Stretch1out Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 (edited) Both teams looked as to find a identity to their team.Lots of turnovers for Dixie ( 28 against Conner) and plenty against Holmes. Bradfield for Dixie is making a name for himself and Meyer needs to take control . Commodore is a nice player for Holmes as well. Both teams need to cut down on the TO's because they both play good defense. Going to be interesting in the 9th . Watch out for Conner, really playing well with a solid to 9 on bench to contribute. Walter Posted December 31, 2015 Author Posted December 31, 2015 Edit. How did Brolley play for Dixie in this one? Noticed he has now been back for 8 games and from the stats, looks like he has played well?
Clyde Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Edit. How did Brolley play for Dixie in this one? Noticed he has now been back for 8 games and from the stats, looks like he has played well? I saw him play a bit against Conner. OK. Not great. Can be better.
Stretch1out Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Showing he has been out of basketball for a year. Steadily improving.
Walter Posted January 1, 2016 Author Posted January 1, 2016 ^^^Good to hear. Really a great kid off the court.
B-Ball-fan Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Edit. How did Brolley play for Dixie in this one? Noticed he has now been back for 8 games and from the stats, looks like he has played well? Very early in the 1st quarter he either got a muscle cramp, or pulled a muscle which he tried to walk off, but it mostly had him sitting the bench much of the game with a couple of attempts at playing, but had very few minutes in this one because of this early unfortunate injury.
Danny Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 ^^^Good to hear. Really a great kid off the court. You seem to say this about every kid that has touched the Holmes program, and sometimes it just doesn't turn out that way from what I can see. Maybe I just need to have my vision checked.

Danny Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 You do realize he's talking about a Dixie kid? Yes, but he transferred form Holmes last year..
Clyde Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 You do realize he's talking about a Dixie kid? Former Holmes kid.

Maybe I just need to have my vision checked. Allow me to adjust your spectacles, friend. The kid in question is an NHS member with a 4.2 GPA, an ACT composite of 31, and a KY On-Demand Writing score of 300—out of a possible 300, that is. He has an armful of college acceptances and scholarship offers, some with basketball and some without, including UC’s engineering school. Solid enough for you?
