Daviess County 56 Holmes 55 (OT)

Featured Replies

Final from Lexington Christian.

Holmes missed, I believe, 5 or 6 one and one's between the final minute of regulation (with the lead) and overtime (trailing by 1).

Had the ball under their basket with 1.5 seconds left and Commodore threw it to a DC player to not even allow them to get a final shot off.

Bad game for the Bulldogs from the updates I was getting.

Stewart Currie dominated for DC with around 35 pts.

McClendon led Holmes with 24. (Unofficial for both)

Currie is one of the most impressive players I have saw play in this young season, at 6'7", he brings the ball up to set up the offense and can shoot the three with ease. Folks in Northern Ky won't get to see this young man much, but he is impressive. Holmes blew this game at the free throw line, had three back to back chances for the one and one, didn't make a point. The last play seemed confusing, on the inbounds it was tipped by two of Daviess County played and ended up in there hands, Dogs don't get a shot off. My first trip to Lexington Christian, very, very nice school. Best of luck to both both teams.

Darn. Another loss on my high school contest picks.

That's disappointing because going into this game they were averaging 80% as a team from the line after 3 games (36/45).

Currie was my pick for preseason 3rd region player of the year. He can get a shot vs almost anyone. When his fade away is falling, he is real real tough. Hes going to UL for baseball but he has really become a special player on the court as well. Only negative ive seen from him this year are his emotions. I think he has 3 technicals in 5 games and could probably have a few more to be honest. He needs to get that under control going forward.
