How did Conner shoot from the outside? They have been awful from 3 pt. land this year.

They shot some really nice 3's in the 4th q to stay with the Camels and even take back the lead at one point which they hadn't had since the 1st q.

Conner with 7 threes compared to Campbell's 2. Most of them were contested, so I would say they shot well above normal compared to the rest of the season.

Does Conner not make very many threes per game? 7 doesn't seem like a lot. I thought coach Stamm liked to shoot the the three. I think it's a big part of their game.

 

And I'm surprised cc only hit two. Was it Conner's swarming defense that kept the threes down.

No - CC is not shooting it well from behind the arch. The confidence does not seem to be there like last year as their shooters are passing up looks that they would have taken last year.

Lady Camels are 4-1 and starting to get on a roll. Even with a poor shooting slump going on they are winners of four straight. As the season goes on they are going to get tougher and tougher.

 

Gambrel is a good player for Conner, good senior leadership. Was impressed with Jordan and Hurst, younger players that made a big difference for Conner.

I agree. If they are still pulling out the wins while playing very subpar, then it's hard to imagine what they could do when they get back to shooting how we know they can.

Oh Conner shoots the 3 plenty. Problem is they don't make very many. Opening game of the season against Ludlow who played a zone I believe they were 4 for 24 and 2nd game 6 for 23 against Beechwood another smaller team who zones a lot. don't have stats on other games as coach hasn't updated KHSAA yet.

This Conner team is not a good shooting team and weren't last year so they are shooting pretty much the way they can.
