Covington Catholic is tops in NKY from what I've seen so far, Deere and Stallman being their standouts. Their depth is unreal.

It's a really nice team. I like the PG as well.

Lots of "pieces" on this team.

It will take a really good outing to take them down. Not as dominant as last year's team but still a strong bunch.

Another nice class considering the best two are at JV.

Yeah, they look like there going to be really strong for years to come. Some really nice kids on the way as well from what I'm hearing. A little hard to watch being a Bluebirds parent. HAHA I'm just hoping when my son's class(8th grade, and the 7 grade) gets to high school they can continue to help Highlands get back up on the map.

Coach Listerman(Ex Cov-Cath'r) really seems to have the program going in the right direction.

Scott County-

The cardinals start 3 freshman on the varsity team..

Cameron Fluker

Bryce Long

Michael Mareno

as well as 6th man; Glenn Covington

They also have solid JV players Lorenzo Williams, Peyton Shotwell and im missing couple.

-- As the years pass, they are going to be a HARD team to compete with.

I think most NKY fans want the Birds to be a contender. The region needs more big games.

I assumed we were talking about actual frosh teams but maybe I was wrong.

Are you saying 3 frosh start varsity for SC?

I read the question wrong, i apologize. Yes, thats what i was saying but i realize that has nothing to do with this now.

Wow. 3 frosh starting for a traditional power school? Is it because they are studs or because talent is down?

South Laurel has a pretty good freshman team. They start 3 8th graders. They have not lost yet. They have some tougher games coming up though. Pulaski, Southwestern and Corbin.

They are studs but i dont know if they are studs enough to start for a typical SC team. Michael Moreno is a stud and has a offer from GTown College and Bryce Long plays for Lville Magic AAU and does his thing but again. they are youngsters playing in the one and only 11th region....

Michael Moreno is a player for sure, he dominated in 7th grade and if he has grown then look out. SC does have a really good group there, I am not sure if they are all homegrown or if any transferred in though. Maybe Nextup can fill us in.

Where are the KY Playmaker boys playing their HS ball? Those boys all could play and were fun to watch when we played at State AAU.

Highlands has an athletic team who are all finally starting to grow and fill out. They lack a true big man though as most are in the 5'11 -6'1 range but they get after it on defense.

Nate Roberts, Grady Cramer, Alex Starkey, Austin King, Tristan Thompson are the starters and they have a transfer from Johnson Central, boy named Preston who comes off the bench as 6th man. He is a thick kid with great skills around the hoop. I could see him on the gridiron next Summer.

Time on Friday? Part of a triple? Never mind ... saw from the link ... 4:30... thanks.
