December 7, 201510 yr We've got a thread for Free Agents I thought I'd start one for the winter meetings and trades. The Red Sox made a move to bolster their bullpen today. The Red Sox traded Wade Miley and Jonathan Aro to the Mariners for Carson Smith and Roenis Elias. Smith pitched 70 innings last season for Seattle and struck out 92 while only allowing 49 hits. They are trying to assemble a shutdown bullpen. With Uehara, Tazawa, Smith and Kimbrell they are well on their way. I really like this deal. Elias put up similar numbers to Miley in less innings. Both players are under club control until 2021.
