Parking at WKU for College Game

Featured Replies

Any recommendations for parking at WKU for the college game? Is anything restricted? I'm going down Saturday morning and want to know the approach to take and where is best to park. Also, will I be able to leave my truck in these spots during the high school games, too?

Marry somebody like me who will drop you at the gate then park a darn half mile away and meet you inside after you've had a bag of popcorn and a hot chocolate.

But I digress.

There are 2 garages right next to the stadium. The old garage has a low clearance. My truck almost became a convertible as a cop directed me into the garage and I had no means of turning around. The new garage has plenty of clearance.

I thought I read the garages were for season ticket holders or something like such? I always park in the garage on Friday for the high school games and would be more than happy to park there again.

Can't you still park in Egypt, out past PFT? Should be ample parking there on a weekend.

I don't know what Egypt and PFT are.

When we went down for homecoming we parked in a small lot just past McCormick Hall, across from the museum, right before the large lot where the visiting team parks their buses. The lot is for a little strip mall that is vacant. It has signs about towing if you use it but the building is vacant.

The red pins are all places I have parked for free that you will not be towed (Large parking lot in between Baseball and Softball fields, McNeill Elm side parking lot, streets behind elementary school).

Footballs are the 2 parking structures that you will have to pay for.

And the beer is the tailgating area, of course!!

The red pins are not as far away from the stadium as you think.

Pierce Ford Tower-the tallest building on campus, on the south end. Egypt was the nickname for the parking lot across the street from it as it was the furthest walk for those with classes on the north end of campus. It had a more crude nickname to go with Egypt but I don't want to get suspended.

Been a few times I didn't get out of the beer sign and watched the game on the big screen. That's was a few years ago when we were more likely to get a loss.

We parked out at the Creason Lot in 2009. The back of the lot provided a great place to tailgate in the grass. The walk is not bad at all. Shorter than most places I've been.
