Lots still to happen, to be certain. If UNC beats Clemson, the whole ACC bowl picture becomes absolute chaos.

That said, where do you think Louisville ends up? The poll options only include the Tier I ACC bowls but if you think they slip out of that, just say so in a reply.

The way bowl placement in the ACC works these days is that after the playoff committee gets their picks in, Russell Athletic Bowl gets their pick of the best of who's left.

After that, the five "Tier 1" bowls get together and try to created the best possible matchup a for those bowls. Then the "Tier 2" committee gets together and does the same thing.

I think these folks are going to feel like they got burned a little last year on Louisville, as its 9-3 record proved to be a bit on the soft side. I think we slip out of consideration for the best matchups in Tier 1 but stay on that level.

My gut tells me Pinstripe against a 7-5 or 6-6 team from the Big Ten.

Excited no matter where they go. Will be able to watch a bowl game with each of my son's schools participating. WKU and U of L. THEY can buy the beer for once! Worst case scenario would be playing each other but that's not going to happen.

Does the C-USA champion have a designated bowl that they always play in like the Liberty Bowl was when UofL was in the league?

I'm not sure how it works, I know the conference has affiliations with several bowls but WKU's only been in the conference two years and wasn't in the mix for first place last year.

Projections I've seen say IU will be the opponent.

I usually don't care which bowl they go to if I don't plan on attending.

The only thing I hope for is a formidable opponent.

A game against IU would be fun.

I'm exactly the opposite. I want to win a bowl game by 30 and ride the wave of positivity into spring practice.

Saw one projection that had us in the Gator Bowl against Texas A&M. Normally I'd welcome that but after last year and the disastrous season we had against decent opposition, give me a patsy.

:lol2: I mean, I'm never going to turn my nose up at a thrashing of any team.

I'd be curious to see what our run defense would look like against that stud RB they have up in Bloomington this year.

Indiana would be nice. My daughter went there but is apathetic to sports so there would be no battle between her and my son.

Didn't we "travel well" to the last few bowls? I think the matchup with Georgia was 1 of the better ones last year -- even though it turned out not to be. I think the bowls want buzz, fannies in the seats and a competitive game -- in that order.

Louisville definitely travels well and an exciting matchup may pull people out. It's the only reason we're even getting talked about for the Gator Bowl.

I would love this beings I spend Christmas and New Years in Jacksonville.
