November 20, 201510 yr I have a craftsman air impact. My friend has a dewalt cordless impact. I'd prefer the latter. I'm with you on this one. Air impacts are stronger, but in most cases the newer cordless options will get the job done and are more versatile. They cost more, but not when you include the price of a good compressor capable of running one air impact. He already has the compressor and seemed fixed on that idea, so I figured he may as well try it for $20. But honestly, the best option for his situation would probably be a good cordless impact.
November 20, 201510 yr Author You detail cars? Might have to hit you up sometime... Yep, are you wanting to learn?
November 20, 201510 yr Yep, are you wanting to learn? I think he wants YOU to DO! :lol2: :lol2: Mom is on the right track. If you are in the business, I may bring the ride to you sometime. I love cleaning the outside of my cars, not so much on the inside.

I have a 18volt 1/2" drive Milwaukee cordless impact at home and at my work, also at work we have a good variety of 1/2 drive air impacts. The cordless impact has more torque and all around kicks the crap out of every impact we have, no matter what adjustment you try to make. We are phasing out all air impacts(no longer repairing them), and going the cordless route. These are also used by our garage that works on tractor trailers all the way down to electric vehicles.

Any chance the compressors will be sold?
November 20, 201510 yr Any chance the compressors will be sold? No, since it is a major utility, they will just throw them in the dumpster if they no longer needed....then it is finders keepers for us....
