You know, Rickyp, you stated an important consideration. Many posters have chastised schools who have or had players on their basketball teams who weren't Kentuckians. We were told repeatedly that these Kentucky kids grow up dreaming of going to the Sweet Sixteen, that these "interlopers" knock them out of that chance, and that it is just plain wrong.

Do you suppose that these same posters are concerned that all of those Kentucky natives who obviously have dreamed all their lives about playing in a state soccer tournament are being cheated by these "imports"?:D

I'll bet we hear from all of them expressing those very thoughts soon.;)

Ah scooterbob, for all we know it is just a rumor.

I don't know, Rickyp. Wandering foreign athletes have often found a home with our neighbor.

Maybe its ok to be from across the pond just not across the river, well maybe that's ok too. I guess it just depends on which river.

My point is that nothing has been confirmed other than the young man from Ironton. Everything else is speculation. I will give the benefit of the doubt at this time. Just trying to have alittle fun with GIAT and he's been absent. He might be tending to some honey do jobs.

Of course it is just having fun with our "brothers" over there on Blazer Blvd. No harm meant. On the other hand, if I am not mistaken Ironton, like South Point, is in Ohio. Therefore, our friends are looking across that dreaded river which, of course, they find appalling when others do the same. Oh well, it is all in the eyes of the beholder, isn't it?

Maybe he was on his way over to DQ to get Onetoya's autograph and his car broke down on 13th Street. Sorry, couldn't resist.:D

So, If the 2 foreign young men don't make the basketball team at all, will they be considered "cancelled czechs"? ;)

Scooterbob,

I have been re-reading and I think that "On Star" can help with your roadside assistance issues. Maybe you could be the dispatcher and handle those distress calls.

Thank you, YAKOFNORWEGIA. I would be honored to serve as the "On Star Road Advisor" for all travelling either east of Minnesota and west of New Jersey or from the Czech Republic.

Wait, if the 2 foreign kids are held scoreless, will they be "bounced czechs"? Or if they all play in a game against Morgan it will be a system of czechs and balances?

Just joking, hope the best for all foreign exchange students who can provide proper paperwork stating that they are indeed under 20.

Can you do me a favor then? I have locked myself in the car. Can you unlock the doors for me. Later on today I will traveling west on I64 and will watch for troubled motorists that appear to have children who are athletically inclined. As a matter of fact, I will be travleing with a group of athletically inclined young men, but they won't need any assistance.

I will be leaving in the opposite direction in an hour or so. However, I understand that Rickyp will be available to assist. He has no special key or computer but he does have a good crowbar and a Ted Kluszewski 34 inch Louisville Slugger baseball bat to use as "road aids". Have a safe and enjoyable trip, my friend, and watch out for caravans of strange-talking athletes heading for this area.

I once traveled with a fellow that resembled RickyP and he was strange talking himself. I wish you a safe trip to and from your destination and please be careful for strange talking travelers as well. We really need to do something about that border security.
