I just watched this. Even worse is the adults leading the protest at a school whose most well-known major is journalism.

 

Every person in America should be forced to take and pass a class on 1st Amendment rights.

Sad.

 

This is even worse than the nonsense at Yale.

^I saw elsewhere just now that Missouri has clarified that communications is a separate department from journalism. I would hope so after seeing this. :lol2:

Honestly I have no opinion on the movereat itself. It was obvious there were wrongs that needed to be righted.

 

But a movement needs to be more self aware. They had the media on their side. Why create a fight that was unneeded.

 

That doesn't even get to the point of the irony of a movement started on protecting individual rights and then in turn trying to infringe on others rights.

I'll find a link but basically a female professor wrote an article saying students shouldn't be offended by Halloween costumes that aren't PC.

 

Basically since then she and her husband who is also a professor at Yale have been stalked and harassed to be fired.

The actions of the professors - (who should be fired and investigated by the police if the student was touched) - their actions invalidate the protest. Regardless of what the protest was about.

It's the basic pattern of protesters, particularly on the left.

"We can do or say whatever we want. The rules don't apply to us. Agree with us or you are wrong".

 

The next story will be about the protesters demanding that they get A's for all the assignments that they missed because they skipped class.

The problem is hypocrisy. You start a movement based on perceived restriction of your rights and the movement itself feels the need to restrict others rights.

 

What they actually did was against campus regulations and those students and the proffesor should be punished. But we know that won't happen.
