I'll be serious here for a moment, WHAT IF: the Bengals go 16-0 and lose the first playoff game, then what?

WHAT IF: The Bengals go 16-0 and win 1 playoff game, you see here in lies the problem. OK, great the Bengals won 1 playoff game, which I'm sure this city will live on for the next 10 years., and they can get their " We finished 4th in the AFC this season T-Shirts."

I order for me to get excited about this franchise ever again, this team needs to play in the AFC Championship game, not just get to the playoffs and win a game. We've been down this road a 1,000 times, remember when Palmer got hurt against the Steelers and the team never recoverd. I refuse to be hood winked by this franchise ever again, I'll only believe IF and WHEN this team ever plays in another AFC Championship game, which I'm telling you Who-Deyers ain't anytime soon with Dalton calling the shots.

You very well could be right. However you are missing the whole fun part of being a fan. First of all for them to get to the AFC Championship that you want them to get to, they have to make the playoffs. Secondily their chances of getting to the AFC Championship you want them to get to are greater if they have a great regular season and earn a first round bye. Thirdly we are all entitled to our opinion, however don't let your opinion but bias into what you are actually seeing. If you can't see that Dalton has a whole other demeanor to him this year, that gives people reason to believe and hope that he can get them over the hump, then you are lost then.

Their playoff success depends on him and I been saying that for the last 4 years and still say that. However there is much more reason to be hopeful based off his play and his demeanor this year that hopefully he can get it done.

All I know is I am going to enjoy this season, and then I will keep enjoying it if they do get over the hump while in the playoffs. While you can sit back and not enjoy it and basically miss the whole point of being a fan.

Again show me first, THEN I'll buy in, until then NO THANKS! What does getting to the playoffs and winning a game get you, with this team, really what does it get you? I'll wait!

Someone woke up with their glass half full.

Well for you wining a playoff game could get them to the AFC Championship. So your kind of going against your own argument. You say that you won't buy into them unless they make the AFC Championship, but then you also want to say stuff about if they only win one playoff game and how that is stupid. Well if they win the one playoff game they could be in the AFC Championship. So you basically go against your own argument. Such a weak argument already and now you are going against yourself in the argument lol.

Anytime a team has won their first super bowl or whatever they had to do it for the first time. So you are saying fans shouldn't have enjoyed the ride their, since the team never showed them it before? Once again you miss the whole point.

Is that a promise? Will you wait? Please do that for all of us. Wait until February and then come back in here and gloat about all of this ... please. Until then all the rest of us long-suffering Bengals fans are going to enjoy the moment

If Bengals go 16-0 and win a playoff game, aren't they in the AFC championship game? :idunno:

NO, IF the playoffs started today the Bengals ( 3 SEED ) would play the Jets in an opening round game. IF they won that game, they would head out to Denver, where they will have already been beaten this season.

Apparently not in SKNeer's reality.

Fine, I understand, when you haven't had a baloney sandwich in a long time, I understand how good they can taste. Fair enough.

If the Bengals go 16-0 who would be the #1 and #2 seed?

Who is the 2 seed? Denver? You realize if the Bengals go 16-0 that means they beat Denver and would be a 1 or 2 seed. First round bye. Win a game and they are in the AFC Championship Game.

Try again. You'll have to find another way to not enjoy this historic season.

And you definitely appear to know a lot about baloney.

No, you are missing the point, how many times are you going to ride this same ride, that NEVER turns out how you want it to? Once again YOU can't even understand the point.

INSANITY! Look it up!

And you definitely appear to know a lot about baloney.

Try um fired, even better!
