JUNE BUCHANAN finishes 2nd in AAU state finals

To be honest the way Scott Co played this weekend I don't think they would of had a problem in Franklin Co's team camp. Yeah some closer games but it was obvious they will be on a mission this season. Haddix and Lee were both out. Lee will be back at the start of the season from shoulder surgery. They shot the ball about as good as you can and when your hitting your shots your press does the rest. Doss, Fern Creek, June Buchanon, Lincoln Co. Hazard. South Laurel are pretty good teams. I would say a few less better teams but some very good basketball. Having alot of new teams was great.

Did Scott win the the JV as well? I figured after they beat Corbin they would take both titles.

Hey KHSB1,

I think that it might have been a totally different tourney had Elliott Co. had their full team there. I dont know if you caught any of the Elliott Co./ Hazard game but they only lost to Hazard by 3 after leading most of the game without one of their starters.

If I read it right on the KBA website the score was 111-44. And the games I saw Scott County play, Haddix was not in the mix.:scared: :scared:

That is a spanking, and without Haddix, is even more.

RAO9, please note the majority of teams playing right now don't have all their players.

Scott County was with out 2 starters. Its summer ball, but still impressive how they dominated the tourny.

I would call it overkill,
Just lucked out I guess. 46 ain't no little loss:lol: Played 'em last week too. Played 13 last camp.

Didn't say it was a little loss, just saying... And we were missing our two starting big men and our leading scorer... Not saying that would make up for 46 points but it would make it a game.

This stuff of teams missing players is getting out of hand. It is summer ball every team has players missing. What do you think the score would have been if they had those two players and Scott had Haddix and Lee. I would still take Scott by 20 with out thinking twice.

Haddix isn't part of the team first of all... Second of all, I'm sure teams were missing players, all I am saying is in the regular season Scott Co. won't be beating teams this badly.

Haddix is part of the team, he didn't play because he was at Tennessee football camp

I agree with that. In season, the players are all there and rested. After 21 games in 10 days your wore down when you don't have a deep bench.

June Buchanan played Scott COunty the week before and it was a 7 point game. However, Scott Co. is an excellent basketball team and will probably be #1 pre season.

I knew Scott didn't beat them bad in Georgetown, but I wasn't sure how much. Everyone has time to get better and know what they need to work on.
Congratulations to the Crusaders.

They should be the preseason number one in the 14th, and Hazard right behind them.
