Bowling Green 49 Greenwood 14

Featured Replies

35 point victory and you would have thought South Warren was playing Greenwood tonight by how much they lit up the update thread.

Congratulations to both teams. Greenwood has come a long way. Nothing to hang their heads about. BG is on a different level right now and I wouldn't want to be in their way at all.

Haters gonna hate.

Haters gonna hate.

It's just sad that some have to resort to comparing scores at halftime of a single game to determine whether they are better than Bowling Green or not. This beautiful sport has four quarters for a reason. BG and SW are both enjoying success right now. I bet they could honestly careless who is better if they both brought home titles. That being said, this thread isn't about South Warren.

Bowling Green really ran and threw the ball effectively, while Greenwood only ran the ball effectively. Unfortunately it is hard to defeat a well coached Bowling Green team with strictly the running game. Coach Seabolt has done a terrific job at Greenwood in terms of excitement and swagger inside of their program, they were READY for this game. You could really feel the energy in that place on opening kickoff.

Side note: Jackson Adams. Remember the name.

Give credit to Greenwood for showing teams Purples will face in playoffs for playing slow, using the clock. Good game plan with hyped up kids were a good mix for Gators in first half.

Many that know the Purples program will (Dragonfire will agree), not many, if any, teams adjust better after the half than BG.

Purples take care of business in 2nd half. I heard that the QB for Gators is ALREADY the all time leading rusher for Greenwood, as a sophomore! Regardless if they have ever had great runners or not, that is pretty remarkable.

On the other hand, Purples may very well have their future ALLTIME leading scorer in Jr. running back Carruthers. It will be close, but he may be able to pull it off.

Games like this makes Purples stronger. Lots of hype and talk. Keep taking care of business boys. Future looks bright.

Helpful hint: teams that want part of bg, good for you. Nothing wrong with that. Problem is, this is the year you want/need to play them. Next year I don't think anyone wants any. Be careful - sometimes you get what you ask for.

Great job by BG DC who made an adjustment after the first 2 drives and they had less than 100 yards after that. BG offense never punted.
