The Cards have a fairly long road trip for what is likely a running clock with Webster. Cards fans that will be making the trip do not forget that the game has been moved back to 7:30 CST to accommodate us. Secondly, eat somewhere besides Dixon. I myself plan to hit the Pagliai's Pizza in Princeton. One of my favorite eats anywhere in that part of WKY.

I predict the Mayfield JV O and D getting most of the action.

I'm not sure who is a part of it. I have seen the canopy they set up at the top of the baseball stadium during games, but never checked it out to see who is up there. Looks like they have a pretty good tailgate set up though.

The Red Helmet Club is a loosely affiliated group of Mayfield fans that began prior to last year's season as a small breakfast gathering on Friday mornings. The group began to grow and it was decided to create a club that could be used for the betterment of the program. The current endeavors include raising money to improve locker rooms and restrooms at War Memorial Stadium and honoring the fine young men that play football by selecting offensive and defensive players of the game for both the high school and 8th grade teams. The club does not follow any typical meeting formats in that it meets on Friday mornings at the Hall Hotel in the front room and discusses Cardinal Football and selects players to be honored from the previous week with shirts that are paid for by local business sponsors. This season the club setup a tailgate site on top of the old baseball stadium for socializing. Anyone is welcome to come and enjoy a good time talking Cardinal Football at breakfast or socializing with the Club at their tailgate site over at the old baseball stadium. The tailgate site has canopies, tables, a grill and a revolving menu each game. Members chip in and all bring an item. The club is currently selling small sections of the old goal posts that were in place from the 85 season through the 2014 season, a period that produced 9 Cardinal State Champions that played under the goal post. The goal post sections are $15 a piece with the funds going toward the planned improvements to War Memorial. The pieces can be attached to plaque as I have done with my piece. Myself and several other members of this site are members and would love to have anyone interested to come join us.
