First thing that has to happen is the Coaches at Shelby need to not over coach. Approach this game as they have done each week. In other words don't lose the mental game.....

 

As for Collins has never lost to Shelby and they just have to keep the mental edge.

Should be a great crowd for this one. However, SCPS is on Fall Break this week so that may keep a few away.

 

It's always good to see both schools having success. There is no shortage of speed on either team.

I don't want to even try to break this game down and pick it. Great matchup. I wish it wasn't fall break in Shelby.

Shelby has a nice team this year but Collins is by far the better coached team and with explosive players like Roseberry and Maggard on the offensive side of the ball I cannot see Shelby holding them. Manica and Perry are very good but the Titan defense will come out and shut them down. 38-21 Collins

I don't see Collins scoring 38 either. They're going to have to play good defense and create holes for Roseberry in the running game in order to win this one. I would feel a lot better about their chances if they had a better passing attack and more consistent play from their O-line, but it's been a roller coaster season for the Collins offense.

Turn overs will be huge in this game. The kicking game will be even. Both teams have great kickers.

The injury bug is plaguing the Rockets so far this week there are a couple of big time players who may not play Friday due to serious injuries. Hope they can recover in time for the game!

How do you figure that? Collins shut you down and the wether was better the Collins game than the Shelby game. I think it is a toss up.

You can juggle all aspects the weather was better for Collins Vs County it was played on turf also. Bottom line Franklin beat Shelby, Collins beat Franklin, Spencer beat Franklin and Collins and lost to Shelby, this is why we are all spectators, coaches, and players of this game.

 

Title is on the line for Friday for the Rockets those that think the Franklin game defines them as a team wasn't there in the down pour and doesn't know this team. As for the coaching comment Coach Lucas is a great coach.. but this is not the same staff of Shelby in years past. Hope you got your tickets for the game the town should shut down and come watch IMO..it's going to be a great one!

I agree wholeheartedly with this statement. I think Shelby is clearly better than Collins, however there is one thing Collins has over Shelby and that is the mental side of things. Shelby has never beaten them and until they do that is always be the case. Should be an exciting night!

Collins had ball inside the 30 most the night vs. FCHS. only scored one TD until it was mop up time...No way Shelby gets held to field goals 3-4 times... The TD they did score they got a first down or two by penalty. Yes they did shut FCHS down, but a lot of that was just poor FC play. But Like I said I am not here to make excuses Collins dominated us. But I feel Shelby is better hands down. We will find out Friday boys.
