NCC vs Dixie

Featured Replies

Here's what I see to be the big problem at Ncc is that they keep talking about the past.

Stop talking about the past and build a new future.

I watched a lot of soccer this year, I know parents can be obnoxious but after talking with my buddy (an official) he told me there were multiple games that Ncc parents were ejected from. Why????

I've played high school soccer and believe me my parents were as loud as they come, never once did they ever get ejected from a game.

I would say there are over 30 parents on NCC's sideline. There were 2 parents ejected. One of the ejections was completely bogus and should have never happened. As for the other parent ejected, it is no surprise that his child probably leads the team in cards. I believe the saying goes, "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree."

Also, the only people talking about NCC's past is BGP. The current coaching staff as well as the parents that I have spoken to are looking at the present and future. In fact, the current coaching staff is working tirelessly to build more of a soccer program (such as having more triple headers so all 3 teams play on the same day and can support one another, as well as hosting senior day with both the boys and girls team). This is about building a program for the future, and as far as I can tell, no one that matters within the program is hung up about the past.

So are they putting lights up now at their field so they can host triple headers? Also I was told that with the lack of referees they are forcing teams to play as many triple headers as possible. Not sure about the past years but I think the senior night thing is a great idea, and building a program is awesome. I just hope we don't have to play you guys twice again. Maybe we could do senior night together, that would be real nice, we could have flowers and balloons and poems, sounds like a great idea.

To have two parents ejected for any reason is sad!!!!! How about go cheer on the team, don't say a word to the other team or the ref, then you get to stay the entire time. The price of admission is going up....

Lastly I agree that people need to let go of the past, not sure if these people are Ncc affiliated or not but I think sidelineview said it best, it happened it's over move on. The guy has moved on, I haven't seen him much since high school but saw him at Hc Ncc game cheering for Ncc talking about how talented they are and what great guys the coaches are. He's coaching again at Cooper with his friends because he just can't stay away from the game.

No way NCC can afford lights... Working on an AC unit at the moment

Only way to play home triple headers is with lights. I was assuming that's how they were going to play any home triple headers so they could build a program

It's publicly owned land, leased to NCC. Although they will do some improvements, there's no way they would invest in lights knowing they don't even own the property. It would be a silly investment in every sense.

Campbell County knothole sure did.

They need to invest in a couple dump truck loads of dirt and place them in the middle of the field by the center line. Thus, eliminating the continental shelf that is currently there.:lol2:

Next best solution might be to hold some on Saturday. Not the best option but you could maybe get in 5-6 a season.

They don't all have to be at home either.

YC has the right idea. NDA went years and years with NO home field, not even a practice patch. They would schedule 3-5 triple headers each season on Saturdays, more field space availability at Xavier or CCH, or where ever the could find good field space to rent. It was actually a good solution and possibly better then scheduling triple headers on a weeknight. Weeknight triple header causes the freshman game to start at what 4:30? This gets about 20 spectators at the freshman game. Holding the triple header on a Saturday while promoting the school spirit, school support for all 3 teams, tailgate, make an all day event out if it. Terrific events for the players, coaches, and spectators.

NDA built a great program all while having NO lights, NO field, NO practice patch. If you think it takes lights to build a program you're looking at it all the wrong way. You build a program with players, coaches, committed school administration, and committed families.

Campbell County knothole sure did.

They did. With public, taxpayer funds. NCC doesn't have that.

Nope! Pretty sure all of that was done by Camp Co. Knothole.
