This used to be a decent rivalry. Now it's a sad to see the Camels regress. You can't use injury or graduation as excuse. Every year we see teams carry on through these issues. For Highlands to have a bad year, you think it's just a freak bump in the road. When the Camels have a bad year, your fears of "here we go again" pops up in the fan base, parents and the students.

Is the rise of Brossarts program hurting Campbell? I noticed CC players playing two ways. Is depth an issue?

No offense to my friends at Brossart but....rise of Brossart's program? 1 good year ?

My guess(key) is the answer to your question is "no."

It's highly unlikely that Brossart with 32 players on our roster are having any effect (as yet) on 6-A Campbell County who list 69 on their squad.

IF we can continue to have success at the 1-A level, I can see where we might become attractive to Camels or prospective Camels, especially marginal players who might like to be a part of a winning program in a smaller pond, where they might actually compete and contribute individually, but since we were a totally unknown entity coming into this season, it is unreasonable to think that we have had any impact whatever on the Camels demise this year.

Oh, and incidentally, NO we don't want to play you - lol!!!

So, is it time for the loyal CCHS fan base and CCHS administration to demand a coaching change? Lickert is obviously not the answer. In my opinion, it's time to make a change. If we lived in Camp, and my son had to choose between Brossart and Campbell, I would pay for him to go to Brossart. . ,

If you base that decision on football then you need to re-evaluate your decision process.

If Marksberry were evaluated on wins and losses in his first six years, he would not still be HC at SK. Building a program requires a long term commitment and patience.

No Coaching change is needed or being sought by Camel faithful. It has been a tough year, but the Coach is held in high regards. Go back to stirring the soccer threads.

Let me clarify my post since a friend from Brossart asked.

In NO way was my post about Brossart or Campbell County. It was a post made about parents. There are certainly reasons one would pick BB over Campbell County for their child. The opposite is true as well.

Sports are but ONE factor in a high school for a child. If all things are equal or close and you want to make sports a tie-breaker - fine. However, if your first priority is sports then IMO you're a fool. Simple as that. Doesn't matter if you pick Conner or CCH - I'd say the exact same thing.

To be fair, winning this district this year is nothing to get excited about. These Pioneers have their eyes on another prize.
